The Galdean Empire has outpaced the other nations, having discovered a technology that amplifies the magic of rune-lenses.
Today, the Empire scours the continent in search of an artifact that will further increase its power.
During one of these expeditions, Seign Kesling, a young and talented imperial officer, meets Nowa, a boy from a remote village, and they become friends.
However, a twist of fate will soon plunge them into the fires of war, forcing both of them to question everything they once believed to be right and true.
